The Gaza Municipality has appealed to international and humanitarian organizations for urgent action to provide emergency supplies to mitigate the worsening humanitarian disaster in the city, given the severe shortage of basic materials and equipment.
The municipality explained in a statement, “Since the ceasefire, no construction materials, heavy machinery, or essential spare parts have reached the municipality.”
The municipality stated that the most important needs include basic construction materials, primarily cement and reconstruction materials; heavy machinery for waste collection and rubble removal; spare parts for vehicles, generators, and pumps; water and sewage pipes; computers, spare parts, and computer and internet network cables necessary to continue operations and ensure the continuity of vital services in the city.
