On Tuesday, the competent Palestinian authorities buried a new batch of bodies of martyrs who were returned to the Gaza Strip by the occupation forces over the past few days via the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).
Civil Defense crews participated in the burial and funeral of the 41 martyrs, along with teams from the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs, the Gaza Police Directorate, and the Deir al-Balah Municipality, in addition to a delegation from the International Committee of the Red Cross, according to the Palestinian Media Center.
The Second Batch of Bodies
This is the second batch of bodies buried by the competent authorities in Gaza, out of a total of bodies that arrived in the Strip from the occupation forces. This was after identifying the bodies, some of which had decomposed and others had been obliterated due to Israeli torture.
Mahmoud Basal, a spokesman for the Civil Defense in Gaza, explained that the 41 bodies were unidentified and their names were not identified. They were buried in the Deir al-Balah cemetery in the central Gaza Strip.
Under the ceasefire agreement, the occupation forces released 195 Palestinian bodies and returned them to the Gaza Strip via the International Committee of the Red Cross, without names or identities.
