Ansar Allah Condemns Security Council Decision, Describing It as an “Extension of the Economic Blockade” and Retaliation for the Yemeni Role

The Political Bureau of Ansar Allah issued a strongly worded statement condemning the UN Security Council’s decision to renew sanctions on Yemen, describing it as an “extension of collective sanctions and a tightening of the economic blockade” against the country.

Sana’a – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

The statement affirmed that the Security Council’s resolution “comes at a time when the UN claims to be seeking peace, but in reality, it serves the American agenda and the coalition of aggression,” indicating that its goal is “to take revenge for the active Yemeni role in supporting Gaza and confronting the Zionist enemy.”

The bureau rejected “the continued work of the international panel of experts,” which it described as “providing reports full of lies and fallacies about Yemen,” warning of “the danger of continuing sanctions and using them as a cover for military escalation and aggression against Yemen under the pretext of protecting international navigation.”

The statement also pointed out that “the US is the one working to militarize the Red Sea with the aim of bringing more foreign bases to the region,” affirming that “Yemen’s position in support of the Palestinian people is a matter of principle that can’t be compromised.”

The statement expressed rejection of the international resolution regarding the “peacekeeping force” in Gaza, describing it as a “reversion to methods of trusteeship and mandate under American supervision” and that it “achieves the goals of the Israeli enemy that it failed to achieve by force.”

The Political Bureau of Ansar Allah concluded its statement by affirming “the right of the Palestinian people to resist the enemy,” and called on the Security Council and the international community to “ensure the flow of humanitarian aid to Gaza and open the crossings.”
