UNRWA: Heavy rains have affected more than 13,000 families in the Gaza Strip

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) announced on Wednesday that heavy rains that struck Gaza at the start of winter have affected more than 13,000 families in the Strip.

UNRWA stated in a post on its X platform that “hundreds of tents and temporary shelters across the Strip have been damaged, according to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).”

The UN agency quoted the Site Management Group as saying that “approximately one million people are living in displacement sites across the Gaza Strip as of November 10, including more than 79,000 displaced people living in 85 UNRWA shelters and surrounding areas.”
