Fifty one Countries urge IAEA to aid Gaza

Fifty-one countries, including Turkey, the UK, Spain, Italy, and China, called on the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to provide urgent and long-term assistance to Palestine to ease the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

The joint statement, issued during a Board of Governors meeting in Vienna, welcomed the ceasefire and expressed concern over the limited humanitarian aid reaching Gaza. It urged the IAEA to support Palestine in nuclear medicine, non-destructive testing, and environmental contamination assessment.
