UNRWA: Access to clean water remains one of the most urgent needs in Gaza

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) confirmed on Sunday that the water crisis in Gaza remains one of the most pressing needs, given the severe shortage of potable water sources.

In a post on its X platform, the agency stated that families, including children, are forced to walk long distances daily to obtain small amounts of water, as most of the supply networks have ceased functioning.

UNRWA explained that it continues to operate its water wells and provide a minimum supply to affected communities, noting that it provides approximately one-third of the total water distributed in Gaza City and the northern areas.
