America redeploys a missile destroyer in the Red Sea amid Israeli fears of Yemeni attacks

The US redeployed a missile destroyer in the Red Sea on Monday, amid Israeli fears of a resumption of Yemeni operations.

Exclusive – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

The US Central Command published images of the moment the destroyer “USS Roosevelt (DDG 80)” passed through the Suez Canal heading towards the Red Sea. The destroyer will be stationed near the Israeli coasts on the Red Sea.

This is the first time the US forces have deployed a missile destroyer of this type since the Trump administration’s decision to withdraw its battleships from there, following attempts to sink an American aircraft carrier and its loss of several (F-18) fighters due to Yemeni attacks.

The redeployment of the “Roosevelt” came with escalating Israeli fears of Yemeni attacks.

Hebrew media quoted officials in the Netanyahu government expressing concern about the possibility of those they described as the “Houthis” launching new attacks in response to the assassination of the Hezbollah official, Haitham Al-Tabtabai.

The occupation army claimed, according to the broadcasting corporation, that Al-Tabtabai, who was laid to rest today, had a relationship with those they described as the “Houthis.”

The occupation has been on alert since it launched a raid on the capital, Beirut, on Sunday evening.

Despite announcing a state of alert for its missile systems alongside surprise maneuvers in the Galilee, it fears strikes from Yemen.
