On the 48th day of the ceasefire in Gaza, the Palestinian Ministry of Health reported the deaths of two Palestinians executed by Israeli occupation forces in the Jabal Abu Dhahir area of Jenin in the northern occupied West Bank. Their bodies were subsequently seized. The Israeli occupation also launched a series of airstrikes on several areas in the southern and central Gaza Strip, resulting in the deaths of four Palestinians.
The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) condemned the execution of the two unarmed young men, stating that they “posed no threat, revealing the criminal mentality that governs the occupation’s behavior.”
An Al Jazeera correspondent reported that the Israeli army demolished residential buildings beyond the yellow line east of the Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza, and also demolished residential buildings beyond the yellow line east of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip.
This comes amidst continued uncertainty regarding the actual transition to the second phase of the agreement, which is linked to the deployment of an international force in the Palestinian territory.
In the occupied West Bank, a young Palestinian man was killed by Israeli fire in the town of Qabatiya, coinciding with the continuation of the Israeli military operation in the Tubas governorate for the second consecutive day.
