Gaza: The large shortage of pharmaceutical items recorded its highest level in two years

The Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip warned of a severe shortage of medicines, reaching its highest level in two years.During a speech at the inauguration ceremony for the rehabilitation and restoration of a building at Al-Shifa Medical Complex, Deputy Minister of Health Dr. Yousef Abu Al-Reesh stated that the health system is suffering from a critical shortage of essential medicines and medical supplies.

He pointed to the immense challenges facing the health system in the Gaza Strip, noting that the indirect harm continues as the occupation prevents the entry of medical supplies and specialized delegations.

He added, “Gaza offers many examples that demonstrate the Palestinian people’s ability to rebuild their lives,” emphasizing that the Ministry of Health’s mission is to persevere in providing healthcare.

He concluded by saying that the Ministry of Health launched a health recovery plan to rehabilitate what the occupation destroyed, and that restoration and rehabilitation work continued throughout the war and never stopped.
