The occupation targets the life of the Palestinian child

The Director General of the Ministry of Health in Gaza, Dr. Munir al-Barsh, affirmed that the occupation has made Palestinian children a direct target since the beginning of the aggression, through systematic policies targeting their lives, health, and natural development.

Al-Barsh explained that the occupation has prevented the entry of essential nutritional supplements for children and pregnant women, posing a grave threat to the physical and mental development of future generations and exacerbating the suffering of pregnant women and fetuses.

He added that these practices represent a direct threat to the health of children and fetuses and reveal clear indications that the occupation seeks to target the wombs and the demographic future of the Palestinian people in an attempt to undermine their right to exist and continue their lives.

This statement reflects that the aggression is no longer limited to targeting neighborhoods and homes, but has extended to attempting to strike at the very foundation of Palestinian life for future generations. This situation encapsulates the humanitarian and legal dimensions of the crisis and raises profound questions about the future of Palestinian childhood under siege and aggression.
