The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced on Tuesday that the number of Palestinian victims of the Israeli offensive since October 2023 has risen to 71,391 martyrs and 171,279 wounded.
In a statistical statement, the ministry said that hospitals in the Gaza Strip received two martyrs in the past 24 hours, one of whom was recovered, in addition to 10 wounded.
The statement did not specify the circumstances of the Palestinian deaths or injuries. However, the Israeli army continues to violate the ceasefire agreement in effect since October 10, 2023, through shelling, gunfire, and incursions into areas from which it withdrew under the agreement.
The Ministry of Health reported that Israel has killed 424 Palestinians and wounded 1,199 others in its violations of the ceasefire agreement since October 11.
In addition to the victims, the genocide that Israel began on October 8, 2023 with American support, and which lasted for two years, left behind massive destruction affecting 90 percent of the civilian infrastructure in the sector, with reconstruction costs estimated by the United Nations at about $70 billion.
