Bitter cold grips displaced people

Doctors Without Borders reported that for the third consecutive year, people are facing freezing temperatures, heavy rains, and strong winds after repeated waves of forced displacement in the Gaza Strip.

“Temporary shelters are being destroyed and flooded, vital supplies are being blocked, and medical needs are worsening,” the report stated.

“On top of all this, Israel is obstructing the registration of humanitarian organizations and preventing them from operating in the Gaza Strip, depriving civilians of life-saving medical care. It is unacceptable, under any circumstances, for civilians to be denied humanitarian assistance.”
