The United Nations warns against the continued targeting of civilians in Gaza by the Zionist occupation

The United Nations has warned that civilians in the Gaza Strip continue to face grave dangers as a result of Israeli airstrikes, artillery and naval bombardments, and gunfire, including the targeting of residential areas, exacerbating their suffering which has persisted for over two years.

The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) stressed in a statement that civilians are protected under international humanitarian law wherever they are, and that the utmost caution must be exercised during military operations to protect them and civilian infrastructure.

The UN and its partners emphasized the need to lift restrictions on humanitarian work and enable the unimpeded delivery of vital supplies and equipment.
