The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza announced the latest statistics on the number of martyrs and wounded resulting from the ongoing Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip. The Ministry confirmed that victims continue to arrive at hospitals, while ambulance and civil defense teams are unable to recover others from under the rubble and in the streets.
In its daily update, the Ministry explained that Gaza Strip hospitals received two martyrs in the past 48 hours, whose bodies were recovered, in addition to 15 injuries of varying severity. A number of victims remain trapped under the rubble, as field difficulties prevent reaching them.
The Ministry indicated that since the day after the ceasefire, the total number of martyrs has reached 591, while the number of injuries has reached 1,598. In addition, 726 bodies have been recovered from various locations.
The cumulative statistics since the start of the aggression on October 7, 2023 showed that the number of martyrs rose to 72,051, compared to 171,706 injuries, reflecting the large human losses suffered by the sector over more than a year of military operations.
