The Civil Defense in Gaza revealed that 7,820 bodies have disappeared, either completely or partially, at Israeli bombing sites since October 2023, representing approximately 10% of the total victims.
The intensity of the explosives caused bodies to melt or disintegrate in the targeted areas, particularly within the immediate vicinity of the blast.
Civil Defense teams confirmed their inability to recover many bodies due to their vaporization or the survival of only small fragments. The Ministry of Health in Gaza reported the use of “unknown type” weapons in the northern Gaza Strip, with its Director General, Munir al-Barsh, stating that these weapons cause bodies to “vaporize.”
