The arrival of the 11th batch of returnees through the Rafah crossing

On Monday evening, Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Younis received the eleventh group of Palestinians returning through the Rafah border crossing in the southern Gaza Strip.

This group joined a limited number of returnees who had arrived in ten previous groups, all subject to strict Israeli restrictions and procedures.

The occupation authorities continue to impose restrictions and arbitrary measures aimed at hindering the arrival of returnees, by delaying security check procedures and frequently disrupting their movement.

The road closures and targeting of the crossing’s infrastructure have turned the return journey into a real risk, as returnees are forced to wait for long hours in inhumane conditions, in addition to a number of travelers in previous batches being subjected to extortion and field arrest policies.
