On Thursday evening, Israeli occupation forces stormed several neighborhoods and areas in the city of Al-Bireh, reaching as far as the town of Kafr Aqab, north of occupied Jerusalem.
An Israeli army force entered the city of al-Bireh from the settlement of Psagot, built on land in the Jabal al-Taweel area. The force patrolled the Old City, passing through Jerusalem Street and along the entrance to al-Amari refugee camp, before continuing towards the town of Kafr Aqab.
During the incursion, Israeli forces fired stun grenades, creating tension in the areas where the military presence was deployed. No injuries were reported.
These incursions are part of an ongoing escalation by the Israeli army in West Bank cities and towns. Israeli forces conduct raids and military patrols almost daily in city centers and around refugee camps.
Al-Bireh is among the areas that witness frequent military activity, particularly around al-Amari refugee camp and on the roads leading to Ramallah and Jerusalem. Israeli forces also use settlements built on Palestinian land, including Psagot, as launching points for incursions and military deployments.
