UNRWA: Two-thirds of Gaza’s population live in tents that offer limited protection from the elements

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) stated that two-thirds of the population of the Gaza Strip lives in tents that offer limited protection from the elements.

UNRWA warned today of the continued forced displacement in the Gaza Strip, where two-thirds of the population lives in tents that provide limited protection from the elements, amidst a catastrophic humanitarian situation.

It explained that there are significant difficulties in accessing basic services and a persistent state of insecurity, stressing that ensuring sustained aid delivery is an urgent and paramount priority to save civilian lives.
