Israel launched air and artillery attacks on 56 locations in Lebanon, all in the south, since dawn on Tuesday, killing eight people and wounding at least 15. In the south, several areas were targeted by Israeli airstrikes, including the towns of Ain Baal, Ma’raka, Tayr Dibba, Al-Sarira, Al-Qatrani, Deir Zahrani, Nabatieh al-Fawqa, Ain Qana, Arab Salim, Tibnin, Al-Housh, Kfardounin, and Batouliyeh.
Additionally, the towns of Al-Sama’iya, Deir Qanoun, Ras al-Ain, Majdal, Zoun, Al-Haniya, Al-Qalila, Hadatha, Zibdin, Al-Jumayjama, Hanawiya, Safad al-Batikh, Shaqra, Burj Qalawiya, Tibnin, Jannata, and Al-Bazouriya were also hit.
The air strikes also targeted the towns of Wadi Jilo, Yahmar al-Shaqif, Jouya, Barashit, al-Mansouri, al-Ramadiya, Arab Salim, Houmin al-Fouqa, Ain Qana, Haris, Hadatha, and Bariqah, in addition to the Wadi al-Hujair and Sahl al-Mari areas.
The Israeli army also launched artillery shelling on the towns of al-Haniya, al-Qulaylah, Safad al-Batikh, al-Mansouri, Barashit, al-Ramadiya, Arnoun, Ainata, Zawtar al-Sharqiya, Kfar Tebnit, Kunin, and Ainata.
The artillery bombardment included the use of phosphorus shells in some of the attacks.
** Casualties
Regarding the casualties from the Israeli air strikes and artillery shelling, at least 8 people were killed and 15 wounded, according to the same sources. The death toll was 3 dead and at least 4 wounded in the town of Ma’raka, 3 dead and 2 wounded in the town of Tayr Dibba in the Tyre district, 1 dead in Deir Zahrani and another in Zibdin in the Nabatieh district, and 9 wounded in the town of Qatrani in the Jezzine district.
