With fire and missiles… Hezbollah imposes the equation of response in the northern front of the occupied territories

The northern front of the occupied territories witnessed, on Thursday evening, a wide field escalation following the launch of missiles from southern Lebanon towards areas in the Galilee and Haifa Bay, concurrently with Hezbollah announcing the execution of a series of military operations, including missiles and drones targeting Israeli sites and settlements.

Follow-ups – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

Israeli Channel 12 reported the interception of missiles launched from Lebanon towards Haifa Bay, while others fell in open areas, and Israeli media mentioned that 4 missiles were launched towards Haifa in the last salvo.

The Israeli Home Front Command also announced the activation of sirens in Haifa, Nahariya, and Acre, following the detection of missiles launched from Lebanese territory.

On the ground, Hezbollah announced in consecutive statements the execution of several operations, including targeting the settlements of Shlomi and Nahariya with a swarm of attack drones, in addition to launching rocket barrages towards the settlements of Shlomi, Nahariya, and Kabri; as well as targeting the settlement of Al-Malkiya and sites belonging to the Israeli army in Ma’alot Tarshiha; and finally, targeting the settlement of Miskav Am.

Hezbollah affirmed that its operations come in response to what it described as Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement and repeated assaults on villages in southern Lebanon, stressing that responses will continue unless the attacks cease.

Hezbollah’s military media released footage it said documented the targeting of military infrastructure in the settlement of Karmiel in northern Israel with precision missiles.

This escalation comes amid an escalating confrontation on the Lebanese-Israeli front, following Israeli aggression raids described as the most violent on the southern suburbs of Beirut, the Bekaa, and the south, which resulted in hundreds of martyrs and wounded, according to Lebanese sources.

The developments were also accompanied by widespread evacuation warnings in the southern suburbs, including areas near Rafic Hariri International Airport, causing a heavy displacement movement amid fears of an expanding scope of targeting.

Amid this escalation, diplomatic moves continue to contain the crisis, with efforts led by the US to open a negotiating path, but the continued exchange of strikes reflects the fragility of political efforts and the field remaining the decisive factor.
