Civil defense in Gaza demands to reveal the fate of the bodies of martyrs under the rubble in Rafah

The General Directorate of Civil Defense in the Gaza Strip called on the United Nations and international humanitarian organizations to pressure the Israeli occupation to reveal the fate of the bodies of martyrs still buried under the rubble of destroyed buildings in Rafah, in the southern Gaza Strip.

In a press statement issued Wednesday, the Directorate expressed its fears that the occupation forces might abduct the bodies or bury them during the bulldozing operations they are carrying out in preparation for establishing what they call the “green zone.”

The Directorate explained that it receives daily appeals from the families of martyrs in Rafah seeking information about the fate of their sons’ bodies, which remain under the rubble of their homes after they were destroyed during the Israeli incursion into the area.
