Gaza: 74 Palestinian workers killed in 2025

The Palestinian General Federation of Trade Unions announced the deaths of 74 Palestinian workers in 2025, amid escalating occupational hazards and deteriorating working conditions.

In a statement issued Tuesday, the Federation explained that these figures coincide with World Day for Safety and Health at Work, emphasizing workers’ right to a safe and healthy work environment.

The statement detailed that the deaths included 20 workers in the West Bank labor market, one worker killed at sea, and 14 workers killed while attempting to reach or return from their workplaces.

It also noted that 39 workers were killed within the occupied Palestinian territories, while 18 others died as a result of being shot, arrested, pursued, or during raids on their workplaces.
