The Israeli army warns the residents of 6 villages in southern Lebanon to immediately evacuate their homes

On Monday evening, the Israeli army warned residents of six villages in southern Lebanon to evacuate their homes in preparation for airstrikes on the area.

In a statement, the army said, “Urgent warning to the residents of Lebanon…” It claimed that the anticipated airstrikes were in light of “Hezbollah’s violation of the ceasefire agreement.”

The statement continued, “For your safety, you must evacuate your homes immediately and move at least 1,000 meters away from the villages and towns to open areas.”

The army stated that “anyone who is near Hezbollah operatives, facilities, or weapons is putting their life at risk.”

Earlier on Monday, the Israeli army announced that two of its soldiers had sustained “moderate injuries” in a close-quarters battle with Hezbollah fighters in southern Lebanon.

The Israeli army announces almost daily that its soldiers have been wounded in southern Lebanon.

Despite the ceasefire declared on April 17 and in effect until May 17, the Israeli army continues to bombard sites in Lebanon daily and carries out widespread bombings of homes in dozens of villages.
