Hamas asserted on Thursday that the international community’s silence regarding Israel’s crimes in Gaza is emboldening Benjamin Netanyahu’s government to persist in its “bloody approach,” calling on mediators to intervene and compel Tel Aviv to uphold its commitments.
In a statement, the movement said, “The criminal Zionist bombing that targeted a gathering of civilians west of Gaza City, resulting in the martyrdom of several of them, is a repetition of the daily scenes of genocide and killing against our people. This constitutes a complete disregard for the ceasefire agreement and an expression of Zionist arrogance based on murder, terrorism, and massacres.”
Hamas emphasized that “the shameful silence of the international community and the United Nations regarding these bloody massacres is what encourages the war criminal Netanyahu’s government to continue this sadistic and bloody approach, which aims to break the will of our people and subjugate them.”
It reiterated its demand to the mediators and all concerned parties “to stop the daily bloody Zionist killing spree against our Palestinian people, and to compel the war criminal Netanyahu to fulfill his commitments under the ceasefire agreement, foremost among them stopping the aggression and attacks.”
