The advisor and aide to Iran’s Supreme Leader, Mohammed Mokhber, vowed on Friday that the UAE will receive further punishment, affirming that the Strait of Hormuz card represents a capability rivaling the atomic bomb and that Iran will not relinquish it.

Mokhber said, in a statement, that “The Strait of Hormuz represents a capability that rivals the atomic bomb,” affirming that Iran “will never relinquish it due to the strategic impact it has on the global economy.”

He added that possessing a geographical location that allows, with a single decision, influencing the economy of the entire world “is a tremendous power and a major pressure card in international equations.”

Regarding the tension and escalation with the UAE, Mokhber said: “The Emiratis have received their punishment and will receive further punishment.”

The statements of the Iranian Supreme Leader’s advisor come amid a state of tension and confrontations witnessed in the Strait of Hormuz in recent days between Iranian forces and American forces, following the failure of the latter’s attempt to forcibly open a transit corridor.

This is in addition to attacks against the UAE following its cooperation with America and Israel in the military operation against Iran.
