Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman: Our armed forces will make the aggressors regret their aggression

The spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Esmaeil Baghaei, affirmed that Tehran has conveyed its positions regarding what it described as the “American-Zionist aggressive war” to the mediators, expressing his confidence that the Iranian armed forces will make those he called aggressors “regret their actions.”

Baghaei said in a statement to the South Korean news agency “Yonhap” that what is happening in the region and the world is a direct result of the American and Israeli attacks against Iran, adding that the escalation has affected the security of the Gulf, the Sea of Oman, and the Strait of Hormuz, leaving serious repercussions on the global economy.

He added that the US and Israel initially justified their attacks by the existence of an “imminent threat” from Iran, but the US Department of Defense later denied any threat, pointing out that talk about Iran possessing nuclear weapons “is not based on facts,” according to his expression.

Baghaei stressed that the Iranian armed forces are ready for all scenarios, affirming that the Iranian people are determined to respond and confront what he described as the “aggressive war.”
