Abductees in Islah prisons: We were subjected to the worst forms of torture, from nail extraction to burning

Former abductees have revealed that they were subjected to torture by the Islah militias led by Abubakr Al-Jabouli in the Al-Maqatirah district of the Lahj governorate, stating that their detention lasted for about three years in harsh and irregular conditions.

A delegation visited the military prosecution in the fourth region to follow up on the conditions of new detainees who had been transferred from the prisons of the Fourth Mountain Infantry Brigade and to review their detention conditions and verify charges related to torture and enforced disappearance.

The detainees confirmed that they were subjected to degrading treatment and physical and psychological harm, including beatings, prolonged hanging, nail extraction, and burning, in addition to complete isolation from the outside world and being prevented from contacting their families, leaving clear physical and psychological effects.
