Hours under fire… Details of the killing of an Israeli officer in a complex operation in southern Lebanon

Follow-ups – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

The spokesman for the Israeli enemy army announced the death of a captain, a platoon commander in the 12th Battalion of the Golani Brigade, during clashes that took place in southern Lebanon, raising the number of deaths in the enemy army to 20 since the beginning of the recent confrontations that started last March.

According to what was reported by the Hebrew “Kan” channel, Hezbollah launched a booby-trapped drone yesterday at approximately two o’clock in the afternoon, targeting a force from the 12th Battalion operating in the village of Deir Siryan near Taybeh in southern Lebanon, resulting in a direct hit on the force.

According to the same source, the attack resulted in the death of the captain and the injury of another soldier, as the force was later subjected to a series of additional attacks, including booby-trapped drones and mortar shells that lasted for hours.

The channel added that the incident came just one day after a similar attack carried out by Hezbollah using mortar shells on the same force in the same area, which resulted in the death of an Israeli soldier at that time.
