Iranian TV: Giant oil tanker breached the American naval blockade in a simple way

Iranian television stated on Saturday that a giant oil tanker managed to breach what it described as the “American naval blockade” imposed on the country in a simple and uncomplicated manner.

Exclusive Follow-ups – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

According to Iranian television, “the tanker succeeded in crossing without needing to carry out complex operations, merely by turning off the transmitter of the Automatic Identification System (AIS), which enabled it to bypass US naval oversight.”

The report indicated that this is not the first time Tehran has announced the success of its tankers in bypassing the blockade, as it had announced over the past few weeks the passage of a number of oil and gas tankers, including five LNG ships days ago, in addition to 34 tankers in previous weeks.

Iranian television considered the passage of oil tankers and their evasion of the American blockade as evidence of Tehran’s continued ability to export oil despite the imposed restrictions and a failure for the hostile powers.

This comes amid escalating naval tensions in the Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz, coinciding with the ongoing confrontation between Iran and the United States over the file of navigation and energy in the region, which is expected to decrease in pace and stop if a memorandum of understanding between the two parties, scheduled to be signed in the coming days, is implemented.
