Government media: 3,338 Israeli violations in Gaza

The Government Media Office in the Gaza Strip announced on Saturday that the Israeli occupation army has committed 3,338 military and field violations since the ceasefire agreement came into effect.

The office explained that these ongoing violations have resulted in the deaths of 1,012 Palestinians and injuries to 3,208 others due to direct targeting of residential areas. Additionally, the occupation forces have abducted and detained 100 Palestinians during this period.

These shocking figures were included in a comprehensive statistical report published by the office to document the ongoing Israeli crimes, coinciding with the 251st day since the ceasefire agreement came into effect.

The government report highlighted the worsening humanitarian catastrophe in all aspects of life in the Gaza Strip, attributing the primary reason for the deteriorating conditions to the occupation authorities’ failure to adhere to any of the signed terms and understandings.

The report also noted the continuation of the systematic economic and humanitarian strangulation policy against the population, as the occupation has obstructed the flow of relief aid, allowing only 54,023 truckloads to enter the Gaza Strip.

The government media indicated that this small number comes from the 150,600 trucks that were supposed to enter under the agreement, so the occupation’s compliance with this vital clause is only 36% of the total required.

Regarding travel and travelers, the statement affirmed that the occupation authorities deliberately obstructed the operation of the Rafah land crossing, preventing humanitarian cases from traveling, studying, and receiving medical treatment abroad, as stipulated in the agreement.

The Israeli crossings allowed only 7,417 citizens to travel out of the 20,600 travelers who were supposed to be permitted to leave the Gaza Strip, a meager compliance rate that did not exceed 36%.

The Government Media Office strongly condemned the occupation’s systematic and ongoing policy of targeting and exterminating the Palestinian people, and depriving civilians of basic necessities of life within the Gaza Strip.

The statement held Israel fully responsible for the continued deterioration of the humanitarian situation and the deepening of the suffocating living, health, and environmental crises that are afflicting more than two million besieged Palestinians.
