The US Army admits to the killing of two soldiers and the missing of a third in an Iranian strike that targeted a military base in Jordan

US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced today the killing of two American soldiers, the loss of a third, and the injury of four others, following an Iranian attack targeting American forces in Jordan on Friday, indicating that the wounded were transferred to hospitals inside the Kingdom for treatment.

US Central Command stated that American forces were subjected to intensive Iranian attacks during the operation, resulting in the death of two soldiers, the loss of a third, and the injury of four others. It added that the wounded were transferred to hospitals inside Jordan for treatment.

The announcement comes a day after the Iranian Armed Forces announced the execution of missile strikes targeting military bases housing American forces in Jordan, which they said came in response to recent American attacks inside Iran.

In a related context, “Fox News” reported that 13 American soldiers were injured in the Iranian attacks targeting American forces in the region over the past week.
