The Australian government issued an urgent warning yesterday, Sunday, to its citizens, urging them to reconsider travel plans to Abha International Airport in southern Saudi Arabia, warning of security risks related to the possibility of renewed Yemeni military strikes on the airport.

The warning comes amid the continued severe disruption of air traffic at airports in southern Saudi Arabia, which have been witnessing cancellations and suspensions of flights for a week.
Sana’a forces had announced last Monday that they had targeted Abha International Airport in response to the bombing of Sana’a International Airport, renewing their warning to airlines against crossing Saudi airspace or operating flights to the targeted airports until the siege on Sana’a Airport is completely lifted.
They also announced an upcoming military statement this afternoon, Monday, which they said would be for announcing an important position befitting the aspirations of the Yemeni people, indicating escalatory steps against the Saudi siege.
