While confirming the rise in its requests… the European mission drops 3 nationalities from the protection program in the Red Sea

The European Union’s naval mission in the Red Sea has excluded three nationalities from its protection program for ships transiting the Red Sea.

This coincides with Yemen beginning to implement the decision to ban Saudi navigation.

Exclusive – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

The mission called on ships flying Saudi, Israeli, and American flags to avoid nationalities through the Red Sea, stating they are within the scope of Yemeni targeting.

The mission confirmed in a statement by its commander, Admiral Vasilios Gribaris, that the request for protection had increased by about 40% compared to previous.

The identification of the aforementioned nationalities indicates the rejection of the mission, which was formed in February 2024 and was tasked with escorting European ships, avoiding any suspicions that might expose its battleships to targeting and its forces to danger.

Yemen has declared a ban on Saudi navigation in the Red Sea, while the occupation and American ships have remained on the list since they were designated as hostile nations during the operations to support Gaza.
