Watch fires and dense smoke columns rising in Saudi Arabia’s Buqayq

Sana’a – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

Activists on social media platforms circulated footage showing fires and thick smoke columns rising from Buqayq governorate in the eastern region of Saudi Arabia.

This coincides with low-quality satellite images showing damage to an Aramco oil facility and fires breaking out inside its oil tanks.

Buqayq governorate is a highly critical location, housing the world’s largest oil refinery, along with sensitive facilities for processing crude oil from the giant Ghawar field before it is transported to export terminals west and east.

The Yemeni Armed Forces had earlier announced the execution of drone operations targeting oil supply lines from eastern Saudi Arabia to Yanbu port, in response to the breach of Yemeni airspace by drones belonging to the Saudi regime.
