Rescue teams in the Gaza Strip recovered the remains of 99 martyrs on Monday from under the rubble of a house belonging to the Abu Sharia and Hasayna families in the Sabra neighborhood, south of Gaza City. The search operations were conducted under extremely difficult field and humanitarian conditions.
The rescue teams explained that the house was targeted by a series of airstrikes carried out by Israeli warplanes at different times, including one on June 7, 2025, and another in October 2023. These attacks resulted in the martyrdom of dozens of civilians, with many others remaining trapped under the rubble.
The teams emphasized that search and recovery operations continue to face significant challenges due to the widespread destruction caused by the airstrikes, as well as a severe shortage of equipment, machinery, and resources needed to reach the missing.
They noted that thousands of martyrs remain missing under the rubble of destroyed buildings throughout the Gaza Strip, as access to many targeted sites remains impossible due to the scale of the destruction and the ongoing difficult field conditions.
