Growing concern over parallel ground operations between the Transitional Council and the “Houthis” in Yemen’s oil governorates

Yemen’s oil regions witnessed what appeared to be an undeclared state of emergency on Monday, as anticipation grew for Sana’a’s next step in its program to expel the Saudi occupation.

Exclusive – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

The Saudi-loyal authorities there appeared to be in a state of panic.

In Marib, the Islah-affiliated governor, Sultan Al-Aradah, demanded raising readiness to its highest levels, hinting at the possibility of a ground invasion of the city, the last stronghold of the factions in northern Yemen.

In neighboring Hadramawt, the governor and member of the Presidential Council, Salem Al-Khanbashi, implemented several measures reflecting fears of unprecedented developments.

The most prominent of these measures is Al-Khanbashi’s directive to lift the state of emergency around Al-Rayyan Airport and Mukalla Port, in addition to enhancing security measures around Al-Dabba Oil Port.

Saudi factions also carried out field inspections and imposed an armed curfew in coastal cities.

Unlike Marib, which has lived with the specter of an invasion by the “Houthis” for years, Hadhramaut is experiencing a more complex crisis, especially with the Transitional Council, loyal to the UAE, threatening greater escalation in rejection of attempts to plunder oil.

The measures were not limited to Hadhramaut and Marib but extended to Shabwa, where the so-called security committee there announced raising readiness among its security factions in anticipation of any emergency.

Shabwa is the third oil governorate and suffers from the same crisis as Hadhramaut, where the threat is not limited to Sana’a but also includes the Transitional Council in Aden, which has strengthened its measures with Emirati support in recent days in anticipation of oil smuggling attempts, which it strongly opposes.
