The West Bank is no longer facing sporadic attacks or temporary escalations. According to a discussion panel presented by Walid al-Omari, Al Jazeera’s bureau chief in Palestine, the situation appears to be escalating, combining settler attacks, Israeli army incursions and arrests, house and building demolitions, and land confiscations—a scenario described by the panelists as heading toward a more dangerous phase.
In the latest chapter of this escalation, the village of Qusra, south of Nablus, has witnessed settler attacks transform into a siege of Palestinian homes, cutting off water and electricity to residents. This coincides with the re-establishment of an outpost previously dismantled by the Israeli army.
These attacks are no longer necessarily linked to a response to a resistance operation or a specific security incident; rather, they have become a daily routine, creating conditions that drive Palestinians out.
