Civil Defense spokesman Mahmoud Bassal warned of the dire humanitarian conditions faced by displaced people amid soaring temperatures, emphasizing that tents have become like ovens.
Bassal stated that residents of the Gaza Strip, particularly those living in tents, are enduring extremely difficult circumstances these days as the heatwave intensifies and temperatures soar.
He added that the tents, which shelter large numbers of displaced people, have become unbearably hot due to the extreme heat, exacerbating the suffering of residents already facing dire humanitarian conditions.
The plight of displaced people in the Strip is worsening with the continued heatwaves, given the limited resources available to mitigate the effects of the high temperatures and provide a safe and suitable living environment.
