Lebanon: 83,000 displaced people

Lebanese Social Affairs Minister Hanin al-Sayed announced that 20 people were killed on Wednesday as a result of Israeli attacks, while the Lebanese Ministry of Health reported that Israeli airstrikes on Lebanon since the start of the war have killed 72 people.

The Ministry of Health stated in a press release that it had recorded 72 deaths since the start of the war. Authorities confirmed on Monday that the war has displaced more than 83,000 people from their homes.

For her part, the minister said at a press conference at the Government Palace that the number of displaced people registered in shelters has reached approximately 18,000, distributed across 399 open shelters. She emphasized the ministry’s efforts to provide assistance to those affected.

She explained that “a special electronic link will soon be distributed to all displaced people, whether in homes or shelters, in order to accurately register their data, thus facilitating communication with them and providing the necessary support.”
