Attack targets a new ship off Al-Mokha

The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) reported on Tuesday evening that a “cargo ship was struck by unknown projectiles” off the coast of Al-Mokha in western Yemen.

The authority stated in its report that the attack caused the complete destruction of the ship, without indicating the nature of the party that carried out the attack.

The incident comes a day after Sana’a forces announced the execution of a military operation targeting a Saudi military landing ship and accompanying vessels off the coast of Al-Mokha, indicating that the ship was carrying a weapons shipment for Saudi-loyal forces on the western coast.
