The Lebanese Ministry of Public Health announced Thursday evening that a series of Israeli airstrikes on southern Lebanon resulted in injuries to six civilians, according to initial reports.
In a statement published by the National News Agency, the ministry added that the injuries occurred in airstrikes on the town of Bnaafoul in the Sidon district and the town of Ansar in the Nabatieh district.
The agency reported that Israeli warplanes carried out a “fierce aerial attack this evening” using dozens of missiles, targeting the Wadi Basfour area between the towns of Ansar, Sinai, and Basfour.
It added that the missile explosions caused “a massive blast that reverberated throughout the southern regions and triggered tremors that sparked panic and tension among the residents.”
