The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced on Sunday that the death toll has risen to 73,420 martyrs and 174,369 wounded since the start of the aggression against the Strip on October 7, 2023.
In its daily report, the Ministry indicated that hospitals in the Strip received one martyr and five wounded individuals in the past 48 hours.
It stated that the total number of martyrs since the ceasefire on October 11 has risen to 1,286, with 4,257 wounded, in addition to the recovery of 813 bodies.
The Ministry confirmed that a number of victims remain under the rubble and in the streets, as ambulance and rescue teams face difficulties in reaching and recovering them.
Since October 7, 2023, the occupying power—with American and European support—has committed genocide in the Gaza Strip, including killing, starvation, destruction, displacement, and arrests, ignoring international appeals and orders from the International Court of Justice to cease its actions. The genocide left more than 239,000 Palestinians dead or wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 11,000 missing, in addition to hundreds of thousands of displaced people and a famine that claimed the lives of many, most of them children, as well as widespread destruction and the erasure of most of the cities and areas of the Gaza Strip from the map.
