Congress undermines Saudi Arabia’s campaign to recruit America in Yemen

The US Congress delivered a strong blow to Saudi Arabia on Thursday as it attempted to drag the US back into the quagmire of war in Yemen.

Members of Congress rejected new Saudi demands to lead a battle in Yemen.

Among the most prominent was Brad Schneider, who affirmed in a press statement that the Yemen war is not America’s war, a clear indication that his country will not engage in the war again.

The new American statements came following a Saudi campaign aimed at pressuring the Trump administration through the lobby in Congress to engage in its current escalation in Yemen.

Riyadh brought female intelligence elements to Congress to market fears about those it describes as the “Houthis,” citing their relations with Russia, China, and what it describes as extremist groups.

Saudi Arabia’s knock-on Congress came following the Trump administration’s rejection of a new Saudi offer to lead the battle.

Hebrew media quoted their sources as saying that the commander of US Central Command rejected the Saudi Crown Prince’s request to lead a new battle and replaced it with an offer of logistical support only.

Saudi Arabia is currently throwing its full weight into moving America in Yemen, as it faces great difficulty in dealing with recent developments, most notably Yemen’s decision to ban Saudi navigation.
