Palestinians gathered in the Zeitoun neighborhood of Gaza City to bury the bodies and remains that civil defense teams had managed to retrieve during search operations in areas that suffered widespread destruction.
According to local sources, approximately 70 of the martyrs whose funerals were held were children, a scene that reflects the human toll of the war on the Gaza Strip.
Reaching the bodies was no easy task. The martyrs remained buried under layers of rubble since their homes were targeted. The difficulty of accessing the devastated areas and the lack of heavy equipment and machinery prevented their immediate recovery.
