Yemen renewed its bombing of the largest Saudi oil refinery on the Red Sea.

Preliminary images circulated by activists showed a massive fire blazing at the Jizan refineries belonging to the Saudi oil giant Aramco.

The attack is one of a series of attacks that have targeted the refinery, which produces about 400,000 barrels of oil per day, since Yemen’s decision to begin the Saudi navigation ban on July 20.

The new attack has drawn the attention of international media.

The British newspaper Financial Times considered it the largest attack, indicating that it disrupted attempts to resume the refinery’s operation.

The newspaper explained that the attack was carried out with several missiles and drones.

The newspaper indicated that the new attack may complicate Saudi Arabia’s efforts to resume oil exports via the Red Sea, especially after its decision to transfer its operations from the Gulf due to the closure of the Strait of Hormuz.
