The death toll from the Israeli offensive on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, has risen to 73,669, with 174,652 wounded, most of them women and children.
The Palestinian News Agency (WAFA), quoting the Palestinian Ministry of Health on Wednesday, reported that the bodies of seven people killed in the past 24 hours arrived at Gaza Strip hospitals. These included two new fatalities and one person who succumbed to his wounds. The bodies of four other victims were also recovered, and 25 injuries were recorded.
The Ministry indicated that a number of victims remain trapped under rubble and in the streets, as ambulance and civil defense teams are unable to reach them.
Since the ceasefire on October 11, the death toll has reached 1,358, with 4,541 wounded and 831 bodies recovered.
The war of attrition has caused a widespread humanitarian catastrophe due to the extensive destruction of homes. Infrastructure collapse, services breakdown, and the occupation’s prevention of the entry of relief supplies and materials necessary for reconstruction.
