The Yemeni forces in Sana’a announced in the middle of the night of Saturday-Sunday the execution of a wide-scale qualitative military operation targeting the Saudi depth, in response to “the continuation of launching raids and aggressions against the Yemeni people,” with a large salvo of ballistic missiles and drones.

The official spokesman for the Yemeni forces, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, confirmed in a military statement that “the operation targeted modern weapons depots and command and control rooms that manage the aggressive operations inside the military base in the Saudi Sharurah area.”
Brigadier General Saree explained that the strikes were carried out with a large and dual salvo of ballistic missiles and drones, confirming that “the hits were precise and direct, causing severe losses in the enemy’s equipment and military infrastructure.”
Today’s operation comes in implementation of what Brigadier General Saree had previously announced, when Sana’a vowed an inevitable response and punishment in retaliation for the ongoing aerial escalation. Sana’a had then revealed that Saudi aggression fighter jets launched 129 airstrikes within 48 hours, targeting civilian objects and scattered areas in the governorates of Taiz, Marib, Hudaydah, Al-Jawf, Sa’ada, Amran, and Hajjah, stressing at the time that “the enemy’s aggressions and crimes will not pass without response and punishment, and that the field is what will decide the options.”
The military statement renewed its warning to the Saudi regime that the continuation of its escalation and war on Yemen will be met with a series of even more punishing and wider-scale operations in the depths of its territory, stressing that the consequences of insisting on escalation will be dire and catastrophic.
