“OCHA” expresses its concern about targeting civilians in Gaza

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) expressed concern over reports of civilians being killed or injured due to aggressive strikes on populated areas across the Gaza Strip.

UNICEF reported that nine children were killed over the past week, including two sisters, and at least 13 children were injured, noting that a pregnant woman and her fetus were also killed by gunfire.

It emphasized the need to protect civilians and civilian objects at all times, including humanitarian workers, their property, and supplies.

Meanwhile, OCHA reported from partners concerned with safety and security that military operations continued across the Gaza Strip over the weekend, particularly west of what is known as the ‘Yellow Line,’ including air raids, artillery shelling, gunfire, and naval bombardment.
