Saudi Arabia Lifts Secrecy on Images of the Destruction of Its Most Important Oil Export Lines as Repair Begins

Saudi Arabia lifted the ban on Tuesday on images related to the repercussions of the Yemeni operations on its territory for the first time.

Exclusive – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

International media circulated images of new destruction at the most important Saudi oil export lines through the Red Sea.

The footage clearly shows the extent of the destruction to the line connecting Saudi oil fields in the east with the export port in Yanbu to the west.

This is the first time images of the destruction at the pipeline have been published. The pipeline has been subjected to several strikes in recent weeks, some of which Yemen officially claimed.

The publication of the images came with Saudi Arabia’s announcement of the start of repair operations on the damaged pipeline, along with its talk of the imminent resumption of oil exports through Yanbu port on the Red Sea.

Yemen has banned Saudi exports through the Red Sea since July 20.

It is not yet clear what Saudi Arabia is relying on in its talk of resuming oil, but the timing of the talk, along with reports of a new round of negotiations with Sana’a, indicates an expectation of a breakthrough.
