In Numbers and Statistics… Documenting the Human and Material Losses of the Crimes of Saudi Mobilizations on the Western Coast

The “Eye of Humanity for Rights and Development” revealed shocking statistics and details of the crimes and violations committed by Saudi mobilizations against civilians in the Hays and Al-Khawkhah districts on the western coast.

The statistics, presented at a press conference held in Hudaydah governorate, showed that the total number of victims reached 687 dead and wounded, including 343 martyrs (among them eighty-nine children and twenty-four women) and 344 wounded, in addition to the shelling causing the destruction of facilities and mosques, the displacement of thousands of families, and the closure of most health centers.

The conference highlighted the heavy toll on the fishing and agricultural sectors, as approximately 47,020 fishing boats and landing centers were targeted and destroyed, 457 fishermen were martyred and wounded, and more than 2,000 others were abducted, along with the conversion of farms into military barracks and the mining of roads, depriving residents and hundreds of farmers and fishermen of their only sources of income.

The attendees stressed that these violations constitute war crimes and a flagrant assault on international humanitarian law, demanding that international organizations bear their responsibilities and open an urgent international investigation to hold the perpetrators of the crimes accountable and ensure the protection of civilians, according to the conference.
